Discovery earns on the orders it brings. Each payment carries one small fee. Platforms pay per record. Every rate is on this page, the sandbox is free, and a live key is issued the same day.
Rates set in October 2026. Per-use billing opens before the first Discovery pilots end in January 2027; no per-use fee is charged until then, and a store is billed only after it approves billing.
The unit. Each fee is counted in a unit you can check.

An order your commerce platform records as coming through an AI assistant’s sales channel, or whose last non-direct click came from an AI assistant within 7 days. Probable AI, survey answers and Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode are reported, never charged; orders not in US dollars are not charged.

One fee per payment. The merchant pays when it is on Enruta; otherwise the agent account that started the payment pays the same fee. Consumer-facing agent platforms never pay, and payments on a platform’s connected accounts carry no payment fee.

For PSPs, acquirers and orchestrators: the white-label verifier, request_payment and verify_record embedded, and the mandate id written into your metadata or universal token. For dispute services: records mapped to order, additional_notes and a policy of type agent_mandate. For procurement, AP and agent platforms: one account per client, with its own policy; payments on those accounts carry no payment fee.

For the first merchants, through June 30, 2027
Optional: it applies only if you choose it. After June 30, 2027 it costs about 0.4% of the agent orders it protects, the rate set from the first six months of losses. When an agent order verified by an Enruta mandate, admitted through Accept or hosted checkout, is charged back as fraud or unauthorized and the evidence packet loses, Enruta pays the order value: up to $500 an order and $1,000 a merchant a month, from a $10,000 pool shared by the first 100 merchants. Fulfilment problems, cancellations and returns, the PSP’s chargeback fees and orders without an Enruta mandate are not covered.

- Card, ACH and wire costs stay on your own rail; Enruta adds nothing to them.
- Third-party risk signals, about $0.05 a screened order, passed through without mark-up.
What is never charged.
- Being seen. Discovery charges only on orders it can verify, never for being found.
- The buyer’s price. Nothing is added to what the buyer pays, and no fee is deducted from a payment: fees are invoiced monthly.
- Denials, step-ups and the sandbox. A deny is free and still sealed. A step-up and the approval are free; a payment that completes after approval carries the normal fee.
- The verifier. enruta-verify, the test vectors and the conformance badge are free and open source, for good.
- SSO. Free for any organization with a verified domain.
- Leaving. Every record is kept at least 540 days, the longest card-network dispute window. Records export on expiry and keep verifying after you go.
