Enruta Discovery Terms

Effective October 6, 2026

These terms apply when you set up Enruta Discovery for a store yourself, in the Shopify admin or at app.enruta.ai. They are between Enruta, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Enruta”, “we”), and the business that operates the store (“you”). The person who accepts them confirms that they may accept them for that business.

1. What Enruta Discovery does

1.1 Enruta Discovery measures how AI assistants and AI search, such as ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini, describe and recommend your store and its products, and drafts changes intended to improve that.

1.2 The service includes daily monitoring of a set of shopping prompts for your catalog, with the sample size and range shown for each figure; checks of your site and product data; recommendations; drafts of changes for your approval, such as AI-only product fields, store assistant answers and structured data; and, where your platform allows it, attribution of orders and visits that come from AI assistants.

1.3 Managed content, outreach and advertising services are not included. They need a separate agreement.

2. Free trial

2.1 The service is free during a trial of 90 days from the day your store is admitted. Trial places are limited, so a store may wait in line until a place is free.

2.2 We pause monitoring at the end of the trial, and earlier if nobody on your team opens the service for 30 days. We will not charge you without your separate agreement. If we offer paid plans, we will tell you before your trial ends, and a store that installed through the Shopify App Store would be billed through Shopify.

3. Changes need your approval

3.1 No change to your store, products, theme or listings goes live until someone on your team who may approve changes approves it. You approve or decline each draft.

3.2 After a change goes live, we check that it appears as approved. You can ask us to roll back any change we made.

3.3 We ask for permission to write to your store only when you first approve a change that needs it.

3.4 Additions that depend on our app, such as its theme app embed and app-owned fields, stop working or are removed when you uninstall it. Content you approved into your own store data, such as a store assistant answer, stays unless you remove it.

4. No guarantee

AI systems change often and decide on their own what to show. We do not promise any ranking, traffic, inclusion or sales result.

5. Your responsibilities

5.1 You are responsible for the accuracy of your product information, prices, availability, policies and the content you approve. We are responsible for applying what you approve faithfully.

5.2 You remain the seller of record and are responsible for fulfilment, customer service, refunds and compliance with the laws and platform policies that apply to your business.

5.3 You confirm that you have the rights to the content you provide or approve.

5.4 You will not use the service to publish false statements about other businesses, or to collect information you are not allowed to collect.

6. Data

6.1 We use your store’s data only to provide, operate and improve the service, as our data notice describes.

6.2 We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

6.3 We do not use your store data to train machine-learning models without your separate written consent.

6.4 We do not use one store’s data, such as its orders or analytics, to benchmark or advise another store. Category comparisons are based on publicly available AI answers.

6.5 We may use de-identified, aggregated results that cannot reasonably be linked to you for research, product improvement and publication.

6.6 We name your store or publish a case study about it only with your prior written approval of the text.

6.7 We share your reports with an agency or other partner only if someone on your team who may change settings turns sharing on. You can turn it off at any time.

6.8 The service does not need your customers’ names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, street addresses or payment details, and discards them if a platform sends them. AI visit tracking, if you turn it on, records only visits that arrive from AI assistants, for visitors who allow analytics under your store’s privacy settings, without IP addresses or customer identity.

6.9 When you uninstall our app, or ask us, we delete the data that came from your store within 30 days, and we act on deletion requests that Shopify sends us. We keep the record of who approved each change, the public AI answers we collected, de-identified aggregates, and records we must keep by law.

6.10 We encrypt the access tokens you grant us and log access to store data. If we learn of a breach that affects your store’s data, we tell you within 24 hours.

7. Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other’s non-public information confidential and use it only for the service. This does not apply to information that is or becomes public through no fault of the receiving party, was already known to it, or is independently developed. Either party may disclose information when required by law, after giving notice where allowed.

8. Disclaimers and liability

8.1 The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Enruta disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8.2 Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Each party’s total liability under these terms is limited to US$100. These limits do not apply to a party’s fraud, willful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Ending

9.1 You can stop at any time by uninstalling our app or writing to us. We may suspend or end the service with notice by e-mail or in the service, and at once if these terms are breached or the service is misused.

9.2 When the service ends, we stop collecting data about your store and handle deletion as section 6.9 says.

9.3 Sections 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 continue after the service ends.

10. General

10.1 These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

10.2 We may update these terms. The new version appears here with a new effective date, and we tell you in the service or by e-mail at least 30 days before a change that reduces your rights takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new version.

10.3 These terms and the data notice are the entire agreement about the service. If your store has signed an Enruta pilot agreement, that agreement applies instead.

10.4 Neither party may assign these terms without the other’s consent, except to a successor of its business.

10.5 You accept these terms electronically, by ticking the box when you set up your store.

10.6 Notices to Enruta go to legal@enruta.ai. Notices to you go to the e-mail address of the person who accepted these terms, or appear in the service.

10.7 If you installed through the Shopify App Store, your use of Shopify remains governed by your agreement with Shopify. Shopify is not a party to these terms.
